Betty's Note: We, of course are more familiar with the anglicized names, "Benjamin Veno"... "William Veno".... "Susan Perry"..... I was astonished to see this piece, but if you find it on the webpage, you'll see Eliza and Benjamin's children documented! Then, you can click on the links and go back, back, back! Have fun!
Also, I posted our family tree, but have since made lots of additions and corrections.... (find the "InterneTree" link) Our Family Tree & Our Surname List
.....and "thank you!" to Susan Veno (living in Seattle now) for sending me some of these links!

When I was little, I remember going to the European Restaurant in Boston's North End where my parents would sometimes meet up with my dad's cousin, Stanley DeCoste (and his wife, Delia) for dinner on a Sunday afternoon. They lived in Newton and were sometimes referred to as the "Newton Cousins." Sometimes there would be other people there too.... but what I loved was hearing them start speaking French! The low, throaty, but always happy sounds were fascinating... and, although I don't believe my dad knew much of that language, his cousins certainly seemed to! These songs reminded me of those wonderful Sunday afternoons! Enjoy the songs!
